Sweedish Massage

Swedish massage is a soothing technique that targets the surface layers of the muscles.

It enhances blood circulation and lymphatic drainage while promoting relaxation by easing muscle tension.

This type of massage is ideal for those seeking stress relief and a sense of tranquillity.

Aroma Therapy

Aromatherapy is a refined healing art that has been practised for over 6,000 years.

This holistic approach harnesses the power of essential oils extracted from flowers, herbs, and trees to promote health and wellbeing.

With their microscopic structure, essential oil molecules penetrate the skin’s outer layer, the stratum corneum, passing through the dermis and into the capillaries before entering the bloodstream.

This process enhances the body’s natural ability to heal and restore balance.

Deep Tissue

Deep tissue massage is a powerful technique that applies firm pressure to target the deeper layers of muscle and fascia.

This method is highly effective in alleviating chronic pain and stress while promoting better circulation and lymphatic drainage.

By breaking down scar tissue, it enhances flexibility and improves range of motion, supporting overall muscle recovery and mobility.

Face & Head Massage

Head and facial massage involves specialised techniques applied to the scalp, face, and neck to promote relaxation and overall well-being.

By improving blood circulation and easing muscle tension, it can help reduce the likelihood of migraines while rejuvenating the skin and slowing signs of ageing.

For an enhanced experience, it pairs beautifully with aromatherapy.

Myofascial cupping

Cupping therapy has been practised for centuries by both Eastern and Western healers.

One of the earliest medical texts to reference this technique is the Ebers Papyrus (1550 B.C.) from Ancient Egypt, though cupping has also been an integral part of traditional healing systems in China, Greece, Korea, and Tibet.

Myofascial release cupping can be used as a standalone therapy. It can also be combined with remedial treatments like myofascial release, trigger point therapy, and soft tissue manipulation for enhanced healing.

Trigger point therapy

A trigger point is a sensitive spot in the muscle often linked to pain and stiffness. It can cause discomfort, restrict movement, and interfere with daily activities.

There isn’t a specific massage called “trigger point massage.” However, therapists use various techniques, such as myofascial release and deep tissue massage, to relieve these knots and restore mobility.

Sonic Massage

A sonic massage uses a Tibetan singing bowl placed on the client’s body.

When tapped, the bowl creates vibrations and sound, which help calm the parasympathetic nervous system.

Following this, manual therapy is applied for the remainder of the treatment. This massage is perfect for balancing the autonomic nervous system and relieving stress and tension.

Meet Chris, one of our massage specialists in Lefkada

Chris is originally from Greece and has been living on Lefkada Island since 2020.

A spiritual coach, certified sound healing practitioner, massage therapist, and mindfulness instructor, he is also an accredited therapist with the IPHM (International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine).

His journey began with a background in mechanical engineering, followed by years working as a marine engineer.

Despite professional success, he felt unfulfilled, so he shifted his focus to teaching kitesurfing and working as a massage therapist.

During his travels, he encountered traditional healing ceremonies in Southeast Asia and Africa, which deeply influenced his path.

Grateful for the transformative effects of sound healing, he studied it at the SoundHealingAcademy in the UK, later completing a Gong course with Yogi Mehtab.

Passionate about the healing power of sound, he now offers therapeutic sessions focused on relaxation, balance, and restoring physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

In Lefkada, he provides massage therapies and individual or group sound healing sessions, helping clients with issues like stress, insomnia, migraines, and muscle tension.

His work is driven by the belief that self-healing starts within, guided by self-acceptance, expression, and responsibility.
